Pleasure Bouquets: Fire In The Belly

It can be brought on by anger, by excitement, by too many black beans but, regardless of the cause, fire in the belly can not be ignored. It spurs me to take action. It makes it possible to walk away from that lover that still makes me feel weak in the knees when I see him, or grab that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for which I don’t have any experience but more than enough desire, or decide to avoid that cute little taco stand on Vermont for the rest of my days. Fire in the belly burns fast and it burns bright – reds and oranges, volcanoes and sunbursts. You ignore it at your peril.

hmmm…i started a second blog and got back to being crafty by making my nephew some felt “food”. i’m trying to finish a series of essays…but i am a bit of a procrastinator. i took some writing and publishing classes, but no one seems to teach a class on how to sit still and write. i’m working on it.

JP: Stock up on the Pepto, is all I’m sayin’.

Natalie: It is the challenge of all writers. Just keep plugging away, and don’t be too hard on yourself. Congrats for doing what you love to do.
